Gemma Servidio

Manager of Employment Services, Career Development Consultant

I am very honoured and blessed to be part of the Careers for Inclusion team. I have over 20 years of experience working with diversified individuals in a variety of settings. Prior to working with Careers for Inclusion, I have significant experience as an educator, teaching and tutoring individuals with disabilities, including work related injuries as well as the Social Service field as a Family Support Worker. Further, I enjoy my role of Chairperson and Secretary on the Board of Directors for Checkered Door Academy, a community agency that serves local Youth and Young Adults with Intellectual Disabilities and Social Communication Difficulties, who are transitioning to adulthood.

As a graduate of York University with a Bachelor of Sociology Degree and a Bachelor of Education Degree, my experience in education and social services, partnered with the knowledge and hands on experience as a parent of a child with a disability, I bring a unique skill set to Careers for Inclusion.

My role as Employment Services Manager as well as Career Development Consultant, provides opportunity for me to use my skills and experience to train and mentor staff in the provision of services to our client base, assisting in achieving positive employment outcomes.

I enjoy connecting with community partners and potential employers, working in partnership to provide a wrap-around approach to support in reducing barriers and enhancing employment success!

Dustin Gao

Career Development Consultant

I am honoured to be part of the Careers for Inclusion team in assisting individuals to realize and achieve their potential. I am a graduate of the University of Ottawa, Telfer School of Management with a specialization in Finance. Through the course of my career, I found a fulfillment in assisting others to achieve their goals. This eventually led me to becoming a Career Development Consultant where I am able to assist individuals to identify and overcome barriers through the collaboration of community partners and the support that Careers for Inclusion has to offer. I understand the uncertainty of unemployment, and the struggles that come with it; for this reason, I strive to emulate the same support and an even greater level of compassion which I received in my times of need. Please allow me to be part of your journey in seeking employment, together.
